Aurum Funds Limited is hiring – hedge fund sales specialist
Reports to:
Head of Sales, Aurum Funds Limited (“AFL”)
Overview:
An opportunity to join a longstanding and progressive alternative investment advisory firm working in the Sales team.
The Aurum group provides a range of commingled and bespoke investment solutions to a global client base. Aurum has over $5.5bn in assets under management, of which over 50% are in bespoke solutions.
AFL provides marketing, sales and advisory services to Aurum Fund Management Ltd. The successful candidate will form a key part of AFL’s Sales Team, working alongside the Marketing, Communications and Client Services teams and will report to the Head of Sales.
The role involves identifying and liaising with prospects and managing a sales pipeline with the primary objective of raising assets.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Develop a sales pipeline and raise assets from a global investor-base who allocate to fund of hedge fund and blue-chip hedge fund strategies.
- Research prospects and markets to generate, and then follow up on qualified leads.
- Research and maintain data on the competitive landscape in key markets.
- Assist with improving, updating and checking presentations as required.
Key requirements:
- UK resident and/or permitted to work in the UK.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in asset management sales, preferably within the hedge fund or fund of hedge fund sector.
- CFA and/or CAIA would be an advantage.
- Understanding of, and passion for, hedge funds strategies and funds of funds.
- Proven track record of raising assets and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong writing skills with an ability to write coherently and persuasively.
- This is a full-time position based in Aurum’s London offices and the role will necessitate international travel from time to time.
Working hours/location
- South Kensington.
- Normal hours: 09:00 – 17:30
