Cookie Policy
Like many websites, we also use cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user’s hard drive containing information about a user’s use of a website. As explained below, we use cookies in order to make the website work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to us.
In the event that you have “cookies” disabled in your browser, or if you refuse to accept “cookies” when prompted we cannot guarantee that the Aurum website will function in the way that it is intended. We use the following types of cookies:
‘Session based’ cookies. These are essential for parts of the website to operate and some form of session based cookie will be set immediately on a user accessing our website. These are used to maintain the state of a user’s actions so as not to constantly request the same login information from them on different pages within a ‘session’. Session cookies only exist whilst you are using the Aurum website and are deleted when you close your browser after using the website;
‘Analytics’ cookies. This is used to collect information about how you use our site, such as where you have come to the site from and which website pages you have visited. We use the information to help us improve the website in conjunction with our analytics partner Google. These cookies are generated for each access to the Aurum website.
You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to login to certain parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies to enable your username and password to be remembered (if you have selected this option) when you log on to our site. If you are using a machine in a shared environment then we recommend that you do not use the Remember Me function in order to keep your personal information private and secure.
